Sailing through Death’s Door
Part of Sharendipity’s value proposition is providing small businesses with a an opportunity to build engaging, innovative software to help market their products and engage their communities.
A great example of this was done by some friends of ours at Death’s Door Spirits. Death’s Door is a local company in Madison that has been responsible for revitalizing the wheat industry on Washington Island (found at the tip of Wisconsin’s Door County). They use this organically grown wheat to produce vodka and gin.
They have a terrific story to tell, and wanted to share it with their growing community in a fun and interactive way. However, the Death’s Door Spirits company is small and have no programmers. They had a couple of options. They could hire a team of programmers to design and build custom software hoping that it would come out right. Or they could use Sharendipity to participate directly in the process of creating something new for their website.
The end result is not only fun, but it does a nice job of telling their story. Check it out on their website.
The next time you’re buying a bottle of vodka or gin, give Death’s Door a try. It’s a unique and tasty experience. Check out their blog for all kinds of yummy mixer recipes.
